How Tracy Seeds Started

Tracy Seeds started on  3.5 acres of rented land that produced 138 bushels per acre hybrid seed corn. In 1936, Robert Tracy officially founded Tracy Seeds. He moved his operations to Rock County in 1938 renting 560 acres of land.

After years of hard work and perseverance, Tracy and Son Farms is now in its fourth generation of ownership and currently operates around 2,400 tillable acres. Tracy Seeds resumed seed sales in 2005 under the ownership of Robert’s grandson, Josh Tracy.

Initially a contract conditioner, the company is now at the forefront of marketing the Tracy’s brand of seed corn, soybeans, wheat, alfalfa and oats. We are dedicated to your success and is our main focus.

Aside from offering the highest quality of hand-selected corn, soybeans, wheat, alfalfa, and oat varieties, we also treat a variety of seed products. Simply ask our team about custom treating and packaging.
